The Subaru Impreza also does not have a turbo engine option, instead offering a single 2.0-liter flat-four engine that makes 152 horsepower.

 

The 2016 Honda CR-V comes with more engine options than the previous two models, and also includes a turbo. Choose between 184-horsepower 2.4-liter four-cylinder base engine and a 190-horsepower, turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder. Power and with quick acceleration, the engine of the 2016 Honda CR-V is significantly better than what the Subaru models have to offer.

 

Cargo Space Comparison

 

Cargo room is important for any driver on the go, whether or not he or she is traveling with family. Unsurprisingly, both of the compact SUVs win in this category. The Subaru Forester offers the most when it comes to cargo, by providing a maximum of 76.1 cubic feet. The 2016 Honda CR-V is a close second, with a total of 75.8 cubic feet of cargo space available. The Subaru Impreza, in the hatchback version, offers only 20.8 cubic feet of total cargo space. All three vehicles seat five passengers.

 

Technology Comparison

 

Both the Subaru Forester and the Impreza come standard with a StarLink infotainment system with a 6.5-inch touch screen, which comes with a USB port, Bluetooth, and a four-speaker audio system. The 2016 Honda CR-V standard infotainment system is similar, offering a smaller 5-inch audio display screen, Bluetooth, a USB port, and four speakers.

 

Neither of the Subaru models offers a climate control system, including A/C, while it is standard with the 2016 Honda CR-V. On the other hand, both Subaru vehicles offer smartphone integration and an Onboard Hands-Free Communications System, while the 2016 Honda CR-V does not have those features available.
